WHEN TO GO

Our base in the British Virgin Islands is open from mid-October through early August. The high season runs from mid-December through mid-April. Humidity in the British Virgin Islands is typically low, due to year-round trade winds.

LOCAL CONSIDERATIONS

Guests who sail in the BVI will pay a cruising tax of $6 per person per day. The cruising tax must be paid before departure, and to expedite the cruising permits before check-in, we collect it together with your final charter balance. Should you wish to make adjustments, please contact your charter specialist.

The currency in the BVI is the US Dollar.

FLEET SIZE/BOATS OFFERED

The Navigare fleet in the BVI consists of over 80 sailing yachts, predominantly catamarans:

  • Sailing catamarans 38 to 62 ft from Lagoon, Bali, and Fountaine Pajot.
  • Monohulls 42 to 56 ft from Dufour, Jeanneau, and Beneteau.

CHECK-IN DAYS

In the BVI, the minimum charter duration is 3 days. There are no set check-in or checkout days.

DAMAGE WAIVER & SECURITY DEPOSIT

The Damage Waiver is optional but mandatory for all skippered charters. It reduces the security deposit payable at the base and is highly recommended.

Included/Not Included

What’s Included: Yacht, dinghy & outboard

What’s Not Included: All yachts are handed over to the charter guest with full fuel tanks (yacht & dinghy), a full tank of water, one bottle of cooking gas + one spare. We ask that you return the yacht with full tanks of fuel and water, at your expense. Harbour and mooring fees, provisions, cruising taxes, and clearance and customs fees are also not included.

Mandatory Extras

Preparation Fee
The Preparation Fee covers the final cleaning and a starter onboard kit, including:

  • a small bottle of dishwashing liquid
  • one dishcloth
  • one sponge
  • trash bags
  • one roll of paper towels
  • one box of matches
  • one roll of toilet paper per head

Please note that the exact contents may vary by destination.

Optional Extras

Provisioning, skipper, cook/hostess, kayaks, stand-up paddleboard, Wi-Fi, fishing gear, child safety net, and airport transfers. These extras are not available at every base; please talk to us for more information.
